Accra, June 5, GNA - The Premier League Board (PLB) has cautioned Sekondi Eleven Wise to desist from interfering with opponents' dressing room during their home matches or attract heavy sanctions.
A statement signed by Mr Kweku Ampim-Darko, Deputy General Secretary/Technical of the Ghana Football Association copied to GNA Sports, said the PLB has received persistent reports on the interference of opposing teams by Premier League side with the active connivance of officials of the Sports Council in some League matches. It said it has information that Wise used the dressing room allocated to Accra Hearts of Oak during their League game at the Essipong Stadium when they obtained spare keys from officials of the National Sports Council (NSC) and that compelled Hearts to dress in the corridor. It added that similar treatments were meted out to Sekondi Hasaacas and Kumasi Asante Kotoko who were forced to use the Match Commissioner's room to dress, when Wise used a duplicate key to occupy the dressing room meant for Kotoko.
"The PLB takes very serious view of this unprofessional and provocative conduct of Eleven Wise and wishes to order its cessation forthwith.
"Any repetition would attract severe sanctions to both Wise and officials of the NSC who are found involved." The statement added. It therefore urged the Regional Sports Development Officer (RSDO) and the Chairman of the Regional Football Association to ensure that Wise complies with the directive to bring sanity to the venue.
