Preview: Unhappy Kotoko look for festive cheer

Two relegation sides could mar the already blighted Premier League festive season for Ghana's two traditional sides, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak on Boxing Day.

Struggling Real Tamale United, who are sitting at the foot of the table and still winless take on Kotoko, who were finally beaten over the weekend in the Glo Premier League after 11 matches.

Both sides will meet at the Baba Yara Stadium with Kotoko looking for a quick response while RTU attempt to win their first game to bring an end to their poor run.

Last from bottom, Berekum Arsenals host David Duncan's Hearts of Oak side.

The Phobians are winless in the last four outings and are even closer to the relegation zone, a point and a place above the bracket ahead of their visit to the Golden City Park.

At the top, Berekum Chelsea have the chance to hold onto their place if they get all three points from the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman when they meet Liberty Professionals.

With a draw over the weekend, costing Aduana Stars the summit, the Dormaa side could continue the chase for the top if they can pull a win over Tema Youth at home.

Elsewhere, Medeama look to build on Sunday's impressive win at home and push on from third place when they host King Faisal at the T&A Park.

Battered by Amidaus, Ebusua Dwarfs will try to put behind them that 2-0 home loss and head to the Len Clay Stadium determined to get a result against AshantiGold.

With the competition's top scorer Yahaya Mohammed in their fold, Amidaus Professionals will fill very confident of handing Wa All Stars defeat when both sides square off in Tema.

And finally, Heart of Lions host New Edubiase at Kpando Park.
