Rajevac unperturbed by defeat

Milovan Rajevac refused to be downbeat after his Ghana side were beaten by the Netherlands yesterday - instead showing a relieved face after his players came through without injury.

The Black Stars were thumped in Rotterdam as goals from Dirk Kuyt, Rafael van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder and Robin van Persie lifted the hosts to a 4-1 win.

Rajevac's men, whose only goal came through Asamoah Gyan, now have just one game against Latvia on Saturday to improve ahead of their FIFA World Cup™ campaign, which begins on 13 June.

They face Serbia in that game, before their remaining Group D fixtures against Australia and Germany.

After utilising almost his entire 23-man squad at the De Kuip Stadium, the coach told the Ghana Football Association website: "We cannot drop our heads, we have to continue with our preparations. We have a tough group, a very tough group. But we have to do well and play our football. The most important thing is for this group of players to be healthy and ready."
