Rangers, Kotko clash set Enugu agog

The big Confederations Cup clash between Nigeria's Enugu Rangers International and Ghana's Kumasi Ashanti Kotoko has set the city of Enugu agog.

Residents of Enugu are already talking about the match which would begin at 2.30pm local time.

Already Ghanaians resident in Enugu are feeding the Kotoko side with information that would aid them in this afternoon's tie.

President of Ashanti Kotoko Football Club, Retired Major Lawrence Larson said that they were not in Enugu on picnic but on strict business of winning the match, adding that, though they expect strong opposition from Rangers, they are optimistic of winning the match tomorrow.

In his own remarks, the Ashanti Kotoko's German coach Hans Diefer Schmidt said that Rangers are physical, strong and confident team but, that Ashanti Kotoko would out play and out score them.

The match is crucial because both teams are battling for the leadership of the group. Kotoko dethroned Enugu Rangers after the Nigerians fell 1-2 to Sudan's Al-Hilal and Kotoko got an imporatant away draw at Petro Athletico
