ENUGU RANGERS TOP MARKSMAN GOES AWOL
Nigerian club Enugu Rangers's quest to win this year's CAF Confederation Cup has suffered a massive setback following the disappearance of top striker Junior Osagie days to the team's crucial Group A match against Asante Kotoko of Ghana.
According to the club boss Davidson Awumi,the player left camp without any permission.He stated that, the player's absence would be greatly felt because his dashing runs upfront have often caused discomfort for opposing teams.
Junior Osagie though, did not score during the first leg at the kumasi sports stadium which kotoko won by 3-1, Osagie was dashed close to five hundred thousand cedis by some nigerian fans who turned up for the match and were amazed by his exploits on that day.According to reliable source ,the player has gone to Russia to sign a contract with spartak moscow in the Russian league.
Meanwhile, youth international Apam Onyekachi joined the team on Monday after helping Nigeria to book a place in Benin 2005 and stated , he has resolve to help his team overcome kotoko on Saturday.
