Black Stars defender Rashid Sumaila is set to drag the juju man who claims he is behind the injury suffered by Jerry Aakimnko ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil for defamation of character.
The aggrieved defender adds that sports journalist who interviewed a supposed juju man will not be left out of the law suit.
“This is my image and I will have to do everything to protect it. I have asked my family to fish out the sports journalist who did the interview so that he identifies the said juju man and take them to court,” the Al Qadsia defender told GHANAsoccernet.com
“I maintain I don’t even know the said juju man but since he claims I am behind Jerry’s injury, he must prove where and when we met for those negotiations. If he wants to be famous, then he should prepare to be famous with the law.”
The disgruntled Rashid who left the shores of Ghana a few days ago for his base in Kuwait says he was surprised when he learnt that the supposed juju man claims he is the architect of Jerry’s injury.
He adds that the matter came up after his departure insisting he would use the power of juju to play for a club like Chelsea or Barcelona.
“If I could use juju, I would have used it to push my career and play for clubs like Chelsea or Barcelona. Since they have started it, I will take them on to see the end of the matter.
I’ve been advised by many respectable people to clear my name and I will do exactly that,” he added.
The juju man is reported to have accused the Black Stars defender for afflicting a curse on Jerry Akaminko ahead of the 2014 World Cup to get him out of the team to enable him [Rashid] to get the chance to join the team.
Jerry Akaminko has since come out to rebuff the allegation saying his relationship with Rashid is still strong.
