Reports filtering in from the Garden City, Kumasi indicate that Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s Coach Abdul Razak, has resigned as Head Coach of the 2003 Premier League Champions.
An unimpeachable source close to the new Board of Directors of the Club hinted your authoritative Space 87.7 FM in Sunyani a short while ago that the one-time African Footballer of the Year was forced to resign after Kotoko’s painful 1-2 to local rivals King Faisals.
He has consequently handed over his resignation letter to the Board of Directors of the Club, who are yet to make any official statement on his resignation.
Efforts to get the Coach to comment on the reasons for his resignation have so far proved unsuccessful as his mobile phone has been switched off.
Meanwhile, Malik Jabir and Frimpong Manso are expected to take over the technical direction of the Club until a substantive Coach is named.
