Regional Football Chairman settles dispute

Cape Coast Feb.19, GNA - Mr Mathew Doe, Central Regional Chairman of Football Association (CRFA) on Wednesday settled a dispute between the management of Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs and its playing body at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium at Cape Coast.

The rift between the two bodies forced the 5-member executive body of the Club headed by Mr Jonas Commey to resign.

Mr Doe who was assisted by Alhaji Sulemana, Chairman of the Task Force of Dwarfs had to plead with the executive body to rescind its decision.

He said that it was regrettable that at a time that the Club was preparing towards the National Middle League, its executives should that take such a decision since their action would do more harm than good to the Club's fortunes.

Mr Doe therefore asked the executive body and the players to bury their differences and to focus on the impending Middle league. He also seized the opportunity to advise the playing body to be punctual at training and show respect to management to chalk success Mr Commey thanked Mr Doe for using his good offices to settle the dispute and he therefore on behalf of the executive body, promised to withdraw their resignation letter so as to ensure peaceful co-existence amongst them.

On the Club's chances in the Middle League, Mr Commey said he was optimistic that the Club would qualify for the Premier Division.

The Middle League is scheduled to kick off on Feb.24.
