As clubs jostle to secure the services of want-away Olympique Marseille Ghanaian Striker Jordan Ayew, ex-Black Stars physical trainer and now coach of Sochaux, Herve Renard, seems to have placed the best card in tilting the odds in his favour.
90 MINUTES is reliably informed that Renard who recently left the Zambia national team, through his good relationship with Andre, Jordan’s senior brother, has had a telephone conversation with the young forward who is seeking to leave Marseille in January for regular playing time to boost his chances of playing for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup.
Sochaux who want Jordan to join on a free loan move, however, have to battle a host of clubs including OGC Nice, Bastia and a few English clubs monitoring the 22-year-old’s situation. The relegation-threatened club want to boost their squad in an attempt to preserve their Ligue 1 status.
Jordan has played fifteen times in the league since the start of the season, including seven times as a starter, but has scored one goal.
