Richard Kingston's replacement due - Ali Jara

Legendary Ghanaian goalkeeper, Ali Jara says the Black Stars need a new goalkeeper to take over from Richard Kingston soon.
A number of goalkeepers have tried to wrestle the No.1 position from the veteran but have been unsuccessful. Sammy Adjei, Philemon McCarthy, Patrick Antwi, Daniel Adjei, Isaac Amoako and Ernest Sowah have all had their moments.
The 35-year-old, who was forced into premature retirement after an injury, believes all these goalies could become replacements if they are patiently groomed on intensive training regimes and are gradually introduced into the national team matches.
In an interview with JOY Sports Dennis Mirpuri, Ali Jara said, “If we have patience for the younger ones coming I think they can sail through. We were up and coming and if we were being rushed we would have faded out in no time. But if you wait till the time comes and you replace the senior ones that will be easier.”
The ex-Hearts of Oak shot stopper, who inspired the Ghana silver medal success at the 1993 Under-17 World Cup and the Under-20 World Cup the same year, now runs a goalkeeping academy.
