Ghana shot stopper Richard Ofori is looking forward to been considered for the Stars top spot as he emerged as the best goalkeeper of the past season’s league at the PLB awards last Friday.
The Wa All Stars goalie, has won this award for the second consecutive time after winning that of the 2014/2015 season.
Ofori remains the third choice goalkeeper for the Black Stars despite his impressive performances on the local scene.
The 23-year-old believes he can become the Stars number one goalkeeper if given the opportunity.
“I am really prepared for the starting role and I will prove myself if given the chance to be in post,” he said in an interview.
“It is a big achievement for me, winning the best goalkeeper Award for the second time, this is a challenge, I have to keep on working hard,” he added.
“I am always ready, anytime I am given the chance to me in post for the Black Stars I will definitely do my best,” he continued.
Ofori was very instrumental in the success story of Wa All Stars last season as they emerged winners of the league.
