After seeing off Nigeria 3-2 in the first of the two-leg international friendly match series, Robert Sackey is pushing his Black Princesses build on their progress.
Ghana, finalist for next month's FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan will have to be at their best to qualify from a tough group made up of holders Germany, two-time world champions USA and China PR.
Sackey is determined to see the Black Princesses who made their World Cup debut in the Germany 2010 finals go past the group stages this time round.
And as he returns to the Accra Sports Stadium Thursday afternoon for the concluding fixture of the friendly match against Nigeria, Sackey has told his side to take inspiration from their Tuesday victory over the Falconets, losing finalist at the last U-20 World Cup.
“All they need is the motivation to raise high the flag of Ghana as they compete in the women's World Cup. I'm very confident they will be up to the task.”
The two-match series forms part of preparations by both nations towards their participation at the up-coming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan.
