Hearts of Oak new striker Sam Yeboah has vowed to score more goals for the Phobians after he struck the winner in their clash with New Edubiase in the Ghanaian top-flight on Sunday.

The former Belgium-based attacker says the supporters must continue to back the side after a massive attendance and support that pushed the Phobians to the important victory.

The attacker hit the 78th-minute winner after the Accra-based giants dominated their clash against the visitors in Accra.

Yeboah, who was once the top scorer in the Israeli top-flight league, came on as a substitute for Selasi Adjei and made an instant impact with his goal.

The experienced striker says he is ready to score more goals for the Phobians as they seek to revive the fortunes for the former African champions admitting that their opponents were tough.

“We had the game very difficult but I think this win is going to give us more confidence in our upcoming games to give the supporters what they want,” Yeboah told Metro TV.

“I am very happy. That’s what I have worked on and I know since I have scored, I will continue and give them more goals. That is what I came to do in the team and I have to score for them.

The 29-year-old gives credit to his team-mates for helping him score the goal and wants the team to be united to ensure more victories in future.

“With my contribution and that of my colleagues, I think we are going to push this team forward and make the fans happy this season."

Hearts will play Medeama in their next match on Sunday in their second match of the season.
