Accra, July 4, GNA - Black Stars goalie, Sammy Adjei is set to resume training in the next few days after undergoing treatment in South Africa to correct an ankle defect.
The goalie, according to information gathered the GNA Sports arrived in Accra two weeks ago, fully fit, but is awaiting a confirmation from the medical team before resuming full-scale training.
The goalkeeper who is also the number safe hands of Accra Hearts of Oak, sustained the injury during the Stars training camp in Kenya in preparations towards the Stars/Bafana Bafana World Cup qualifier.
Adjei told the GNA Sports that he had just completed series of gym works drawn up for him by the medical officers as part of his recovery exercise and expressed the hope that he would be given the clearance to start training soon.
Adjei, a regular figure for the Black Stars for the past four years was confident that he would be fit enough for the Black Stars next game against Uganda in September.
After been out of club assignments for almost one month now, Adjei is also confident of regaining his position in the starting line up of Hearts of Oak in the shortest possible time.
