Sammy Adjei faces Hearts rap over truancy

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Sammy Adjei faces sanctions over his poor attitude to training, insiders have revealed to MTNFootball.com

The Ghana international has found it difficult to secure a place in Nebojsa Vucicevic's starting line-up in the second round of the league.

The 31-year-old has been limited to the bench and is now widely considered second choice behind in-form Philemon McCarthy -a situation which has infuriated the experienced glovesman.

He failed to report to the team's ATTC training ground in Accra last Friday when they engaged third-tier side Katamanso United in a friendly.

Management expected to hold showdown talk with him and fellow shot-stopper Laud Quartey who has also been truant at training.

Hearts are seven points adrift leaders and arch-rivals Asante Kotoko and will play struggling Tema Youth at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
