Asante Kotoko striker Seidu Bancey is set to sign a deal with Egyptian club Smouha SC according to local media reports.
The 24-year-old has reportedly passed a medical at the Egyptian club having impressed in a two-week trial.
Bancey, who emerged the second highest scorer in last season's Ghana Premier League with 11 goals, will sign a contract sometime this week.
He will be following the footsteps of ex-Hearts of Oak striker Samuel Afum, who joined the Egyptian club in 2010 after emerging goal king in the Ghanaian top flight.
Bancey joined Asante Kotoko two seasons ago from Ebusua Dwarfs but is yet to light up the Baba Yara Stadium with a consistent display.
He was a member of Ghana’s CHAN team that won silver earlier this year in South Africa.
