Egypt Premier League side Smouha SC have beaten rivals Ismaily SC to the signing of Asante Kotoko striker Abdul Aziz Yusif.
A $100,000 fee had been agreed between the Ghanaian Champions and Ismaily last month but the 22-year-old forward arrived in Cairo on Monday with the hope to complete his move with the Mango boys.
Interestingly, footy-Ghana sources in Egypt reveal Smouha hijacked the move with an improved offer when Aziz who bagged 7 goals for Kotoko last season touched down at the Cairo Airport before moving him to the club’s base in Alexandria.
Smouha officially announced his capture on Tuesday after passing his medicals but however failed to mention the length of the contract
Abdul Aziz now joins fellow Kotoko team mate Seidu Bancey who sealed his move to Smouha a fortnight ago.
