Skillnet congratulates Nana Asare

....over Atletico Madrid B move

Takoradi, Ghana (August 8, 2013) – SSM (Skillnet Sports Management) wishes to congratulate 19-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Nana Asare on his summer move to Atletico Madrid B. The youngster completed a loan move from RSD Alcala on July 31, following his successful loan spell at Rayo Vallecano.

Skillnet is delighted that Asare – also known as ‘Nass’ – was regarded as one of the most performing U-20 players in Spain this year. He excelled at Rayo Vallecano B during the second half of last season before training with Rayo’s first team for two months. Atletico Madrid scouts had been monitoring the teenage midfielder throughout the past year.

Earlier this week, Asare talked to Goal.com Ghana about his ambition to earn playing minutes with Atletico Madrid’s top team during the 2013/14 Copa del Rey. SSM backs Asare to leave his mark and break into Atletico’s senior side. CEO Raymond Owusu explained:

“Atletico Madrid is a club with a great tradition of giving their youth players a chance to play in the first team. It will all depend on Nana to work hard and prove to Coach Diego that he is first-team material.

“We believe in Nana’s abilities and talents but he will need a bit of luck and skill to succeed.”

Nass was part of Skillnet’s April 2011 scouting event. He was offered trials in Spain where he quickly settled by learning the Spanish language and impressing his coaches. SSM is committed in developing the youth through football and education.

The road to acquire a professional contract and reach the top level is long for Nass. However, as a teenager, he has several years ahead of him. Raymond Owusu issued the following statement:

“Aspiring youth players must be aware that football is really difficult in Europe. Firstly, they need to learn their trade well here. With hard work and determination, they can succeed.”
