Ghana striker Mahatma Otoo must pass a late fitness test ahead of Sogndal's season opener at Bodo/ Glimt on Sunday.
The 24-year-old was absent as Sogndal drew 2-2 with Hodd in a test match on Monday with a thigh problem.
The Ghana international suffered the problem during his side's friendly triumph over Forde two weeks ago.
The ex-Hearts of Oak captain must now pass a late fitness test to be ready in time ahead of Sogndal's first league game on Sunday.
Otoo scored 13 league goals to propel the club back to the Norwegian top-flight after their relegation two season.
Sogndal manager Bakke is counting on him for the start of the season.
