Youth and Sports Minister, Honourable Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, is set to welcome President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, following his historic election onto the Fifa Council by the General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football yesterday.
Sources close to Sports Ministry have revealed to Sportscrusader.com that, the Sports Minister will take time of his busy schedule to welcome Nyantakyi who is expected to touch down at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra at exactly 12:30 p.m today.
Yesterday, the Sports Ministry sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Nyantakyi where they acknowledged the positive impact he has made to Ghana’s football.
This news will come as a healthy one as the relationship between the two bodies has deteriorated over the past few months and probably a new rehabilitation process will kick start as the Black Stars are due to begin their 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Uganda next week.
