Asante Kotoko striker Abdul Aziz Yusif wants to win the goal king award in this season’s CAF Champions League.
The January recruit from strugglers Real Tamale United is amongst the leading scorers of the competition after two rounds of matches with two goals.
Yusif scored in both legs of Kotoko’s first preliminary fixture against Equatorial Guinean side Sony ela Nguema.
And the ex Royal Knights hitman says his confidence is boosted to claim the top scorer following his exploits in the games played so far.
“Once I have played two games and scored two goals in the Champions League I have confidence I can score even more,” he told Kumasi-based Fox FM.
“So if we are fortunate to progress I believe I can get one or two goals to aid my ambition to become leading top scorer of the competition.
“It is something I have prayed over and I believe it is not impossible.”
Aziz will be looking to extend his continental tally when Kotoko face Algerian club JSM Bejaia in the second preliminary round.
