Sunderland is helping us in sealing a good kit deal -Nuako

The International Relations Manager for Asante Kotoko, Kwame Baah Nuako says the club’s partnership with English Premier League side Sunderland could result in the club landing a lucrative kit sponsorship deal.

He told Kumasi-based Angel FM that Sunderland has paved the way for Asante Kotoko to hold talks with the kit manufacturers, although he declined to name the kit brand.

“Our partnership with Sunderland has resulted in them pointing us towards their kit manufacturers with a view to seeing Kotoko kitted with the same brand. We have held talks with them and so we are going to South Africa to hold discussions with the kit manufacturers at their Africa Office in Cape Town so that Asante Kotoko would also benefit. For now, I would not want to disclose the identity of the kit manufacturing company.”

Baah Nuako also told Angel FM that whilst in South Africa, he, together with the club’s Executive Chairman Dr. K.K. Sarpong will hold discussions with PSL side Bidvest Wits with a view to commencing an exchange programme between both clubs.

“We will also hold talks with Bidvest Wits with a view to starting an exchange programme with them in terms of movement of players, since Bidvest Wits also have a partnership with Sunderland.”

Even though Baah Nuako remains tight-lipped on the identity of the kit manufacturers, footy-ghana.com sources reveal that it could be giant kit company ADIDAS.
