Super Cup fixed for Feb 20

Accra, Jan. 11, GNA - The Confederation of Africa Cup (CAF) has fixed February 20, as the date for the Super Cup match between Enyimba Club of Nigeria and Accra Hearts of Oak of Ghana.

The Super Cup match is played between the winner of the CAF Champions League and the winner of the Confederation Cup competition.

The match is scheduled to take place in Aba, Nigeria according to information gathered by the GNA Sports from CAF website. The venue has served as the home ground of the Nigeria champions throughout the Champions League competition.

Enyimba are the 2004 winners of the CAF Champions League after beating Tunisian side, Etoile du' Sahel on penalties in Nigeria last year, whilst Hearts also secured their ticket through the penalty route in an all Ghanaian final match against Kumasi Asante Kotoko last Sunday in Kumasi.

The Nigerian side are two times winners of the Champions League, annexing it in 2003 and 2004.

Hearts on the other hand won the Champions League in 2000 and the Super Cup in 2001, before annexing the novelty Confederation Cup competition last Sunday.
