Swansea slap £15m price tag on Ayew

Swansea would consider selling sought-after striker Andre Ayew this summer.

That is according to Sky Sports, who claim Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins would listen to offers in excess of £15million for the Ghana international.

Ayew arrived at Liberty Stadium on a free last summer after seeing out his contract at Marseille and has three years to run on his contract.

The 26-year-old has reportedly attracted interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool, Sunderland and West Ham after a stunning debut campaign in England.

He helped Swansea to a 12th-place finish in the Premier League with 12 goals and five assists.

Liverpool - Ayew's boyhood club - are said to have turned down the opportunity to sign him last summer, while Sunderland has several bids rejected for him during the January window.

Sky Sports claim Sunderland are willing to spend £10m to bring him to the Stadium of Light, but Swansea are unwilling to do business for less than £15m.

Ayew yesterday cast doubt over his future at Swansea after he refused to commit his future to the south Wales club.

He said: "If I have to stay, fine. If I have to leave, I have to leave. We'll see what's going to happen, we'll have a discussion and see the way forward.

"I've enjoyed the Premier League, I think it's the best league in the world. The intensity, the determination from every team. It's a league where you enjoy every game.

"Every game is difficult, you can never say you've won it before you've played it. I hope to stay in the Premier League if I leave, but I'm here at the moment at Swansea."
