Ghana striker Prince Tagoe has failed to land a deal with Tunisian side Club Africain, Goal Ghana understands.
Sources within the club have revealed negotiations between the two parties have hit a snag after the ‘Prince of Goals’ arrived in the north African country over the weekend.
Tagoe is alleged to have told Africain officials he is unable to join them, despite an attractive offer in the region of $1.2 million, due to personal reasons among which includes the “difficult political circumstances in Tunisia.”
The Ghanaian forward is also being reported to have said he has lost interest in playing in Tunisia because of the potential of playing certain games in-camera.
Meanwhile, Africain spokesperson Zamili Rashid has pointed out that Tagoe will travel to Serbia to negotiate with an unnamed club in the Serbian league.
The 26-year-old is a free agent after terminating his contract with Turkish club Bursaspor by mutual consent. There are reports that Serbian club Partizan are interested in signing him again.
