Ghanaian attacking midfielder Charles Takyi was introduced with 35 minutes left, but he scored for Energie Cottbus in their 4-2 win over Arminia Bielefeld in the German Bundesliga II on Friday.

Cottbus manager Rudi Bommer decided to introduce the 28-year-old former St Pauli playmaker as replacement for Andre Kruska and he netted their third goal in the 77th minute firing from close range.

Takyi's season stats are fine as he has played in all 8 games so far this season, and scored once.

On Friday night, he registered his second goal of the season and helped push Cottbus from a relegation threatened zone to 11th place on the log.
