Accra, Oct 31, GNA - Premier league sides, Tema Youth and Accra Hearts of Oak have been summoned to appear before the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on their abortive Eighth Week Premier League match that was scheduled for the Tema Stadium.
The two clubs are to appear on Thursday, October 2, at the secretariat of the GFA.
Hearts failed to make an appearance for their match against the newly promoted side following claims that they have been served with a copy of a court injunction retraining the FA from organizing the premiership until the determination of a writ filed a against it by a soccer fan, Emmanuel Otu Kwei.
The FA however denied receiving any court injunction and called on all the clubs to honour the eighth week league matches while Tema Youth were reported to have reported for the game.
The Committee is expected to decide on the fate of the two clubs after its sitting.
Tema Youth are meanwhile praying the FA to declare them winners of the abortive match and be awarded with three points and three goals whilst Hearts are contenting for a replay of the match.
In a related development, a Release from the GFA copied to the GNA Sports said Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Heart of Lions as well as Gamba All Blacks, Feyenoord Academy, Tano Bofoakwa, Tema All Stars, Suhum FC, Seven United, Mamoobi Mitdjyland, Windy Professional FC, Brong Ahafo United and Chelsea FC are also to make an appearance before the Committee.
Alhaji Abdul Karim Gruzah, founder and bank roller of Kumasi King Faisal has also been summoned to appear before the Committee alongside the Chairman of Numbo FC.
Also appearing before the Committee are Seidu Mutala of Maamobi Mitdjyland FC, Joseph Ayipey and Stephen Kankyira of Division One side Vipers FC and Shaibu Seidu of Numbo FC. The invited Clubs are requested to appear with their evidence and other relevant documents to support their cases.
