Top Premiership duo stalk Asamoah

Sport.co.uk report that Arsenal and Manchester City are tracking Ghanaian attacking midfielder Kwadwo “Kojo” Asamoah from Italian club Udinese.

After an exclusive interview with the player’s agent, Sport.co.uk understands that Arsenal and Manchester City have made contact regarding a deal, with the two Premier League clubs the reported frontrunners for the player’s signature.

The agent of Asamoah, Claudio Vagheggi told Sport.co.uk that the Gunners and Citizens were admirers of the Ghanaian international:

“There is interest from a number of clubs. A move to the Premier League is a possibility for the player. But, he (Kojo Asamoah) has four years left on his contract with Udinese.”

Vagheggi then confirmed which Premier League clubs were interested in the player:

“There are two or three clubs from the Premier League interested in Asamoah. Manchester City and Arsenal are the two most important clubs. He is happy to play in the Premier League and I think he would do very well there.”
