Trio leads scorers chart on four goals each

Three players lead the scorers chart of the 2012/2013 Premier League after five weeks of matches with four goals each.

Last season’s runner-up for the golden boot award, Yakubu Mohamed of AshantiGold has made a strong case for the prize this term and so are Liberty Professionals midfielder Kennedy Ashia and Yahaya Mohammed of newly promoted Amidaus Professionals.

The trio scored their fourth goals of the season over the weekend during the week five matches.

Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates that Latifu Salifu (Berekum Chelsea), Mahatma Otoo (Hearts of Oak), Francis Narh (Tema Youth) and Abdul Aziz Yusif (Real Tamale United) have each hit the back of net thrice in the five-week old premiership.

As many as 39 goals have each scored one goal in the premiership which has recorded 74 goals so far.
