Trouble Looms in King Faisal's Camp

CEO,HEADCOACH TO RESIGN

There is growing pandemonuim in the camp of Ghana's lone rangers in the on-going CAF/MTN Confederation Cup competition, Kumasi based King Faisal as their financial predicaments continues to compound.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Club Mr. George Amoako told AUTHENTIC KAPITAL SPORTS this morning in an exclusive interview that the pace at which the problems in the team continues to increase leaves him only desperate and highly frustrated.

According to him what broke the camel's back in their seemingly unending financial problems was over the weekend when the team needed to host their counterparts, Fello Star Labi of Guinea in the CAF/MTN Confederations Cup game last Sunday in Kumasi. He said knowing the negative financial predicament of the Club he decided to seek government support by writting to the Deputy Minister for Education and Sports Hon.O.B Amoah requesting the Minister to fly the team from Accra to Kumasi. He explained that the minister promised to assist them but after waiting for sometime without any positive response, he got his Founder and owner of the Club,Alhaji Karim Grusah to send a letter to the Chief of Staff for support. The Chief of Staff asked Alhaji Grusah to meet him in Accra for futher deliberations towards helping them but when Alhji Grusah got to Accra at the appointed date and time he could not see the Chief of Staff as he was said to be busy attending one meeting after the other.

Mr.Amoako stated that by 5pm on Friday he had no option but to arrange on credit with Antrack Air to fly Fello Star Labi to Kumasi only for the Chief of Staff to call him to inform him that the Mliitary Air craft had been made available to convey the team to Kumasi at the time that the team was already in Kumasi.

He said following the insensitive and lackerdaisical attitude of the GFA,Ministry and the government to the caurse of the team, the team might decide not to honour the away game against AS MARSA of Tunisia on the 16th october.

Meanwhile Fello Star Labi are still stranded in Accra after the game because the GFA bus that was suposed to convey the team from the Hotel to the Airport to catch their flight failed to turn up.Mr.Amoako said he is taking the mounting frustrations seriousely and will take a cretical look at his position at the end of the season because as he will put it,"there is a limit to every human endeaurance"

In a related development, the Headcoach of the Club Francis Oti Akenteg has hinted of his intentions to resign from the club sitting the level of frustrations at the club as his reasons. The coach has since December last year not been paid his salaries and other bonuses.
