Twente In Talks For Matthew Amoah

Ghanaian striker Matthew Amoah could return to Holland if FC Twente are able to reach a deal for his signature by midnight.

Twente have opened talks with Turkish side Mersin Idman Yurdu to sign the Ghanaian.

The Dutch club are in the market to boost their attacking options before the transfer window shuts later tonight.

Amoah joined Mersin Idman Yurdu from NAC Breda at the start of the season but he has struggled to make an impact in the Turkish top-flight.

Mersin have also struggled to pay his transfer fee to NAC Breda and could sell Amoah to get some cash to pay-off the debt to the Dutch club.

The only sticking point is the transfer amount demanded by Mersin who want 5million Euros as he has a contract with the club until June 2013.

Since moving from NAC to Mersin Idman Yurdu, Amoah has played only five league matches and has not scored.
