U.S.A will be our major threat – Maxwell Konadu

Assistant Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu believes Ghana’s first game against the United States will be the toughest game of the group.

The Black Stars are believed to be facing the fiercest campaign ever at the finals due to the draw following progressive stints in 2006 and 2010 in Germany and South Africa respectively.

Ghana will open their campaign against the U.S.A and assistant coach of the Black Stars Maxwell Konadu has no doubt the U.S.A will be difficult customers.

“We have played them twice and beaten them on both occasions and I don’t think they will like to be beaten thrice so that tells the story. It will be our first game of the competition and a win will boost our chances of progressing beyond the group stage but trust me it wouldn’t be easy. We need to prepare very well and with that our chances will be bright”.

Ghana will open its campaign in Brazil against USA on June 16, play Germany before wrapping up the round against Portugal.
