VITESSE OFFLOAD MUSTAPHA

Officials of Dutch club, Vittesse Arnhem have informed Ghanaian midfielder, Rahamat Mustapha, that he will have to look for a new club. The Ghana-born player who has never been capped for any of the national teams has been told that his expiring contract will not be renewed in the summer.

Mustapha, 21, a former Sparta youth product at the beginning of the season had a team place, but has gone down the Arnhem pecking order since December. Dutch reports also indicate that Vittesse Arnhem's tight finances have forced them to end their relationship with the Ghanaian player.

Mustapha was among three other players who were waiting for Arnhem officials to grant them a contract extension in April. But as it appears now, he would be hanging his number 37 jersey even before April to look for a new team.

Mustapha's departure will leave Matthew Amoah as the only Ghanaian player with the Vittesse club.
