Australia's World Cup captain Mark Viduka is set to miss the Socceroos' clash with Ghana next month after breaking his toe against Newcastle on Sunday.
X-rays on Tuesday confirmed the break which will sideline Viduka for six weeks, ruling him out of the Socceroos' next friendly in London on November 14 and also sidelining him until December at the earliest.
Viduka has not played for the Socceroos since their heartbreaking departure from Germany against eventual World Cup champion Italy.
He missed the Socceroos' World Cup homecoming matches against Paraguay and Bahrain earlier this month to be with his pregnant wife, Ivana.
