Vipers and Wise draw in league match

Cape Coast, Sept. 8, GNA- Sekondi Eleven Wise, played a yeoman's game on Sunday to hold Venomous Vipers to a goalless draw in their first division league match honoured at the Cape Coast sports stadium. Eleven Wise, playing with every determination, nearly snatched the lead in the 27th minute but inside right, Isaac Kotey's goal- bound shot was as scooped from the net by Vipers full back Justice Ayinsah. Vipers, counter -attacked and twice came close to scoring but their forwards messed up the chances.

Kotey, who Vipers found to be a 'thorn in their flesh' was re-carded in the 35th minute for hitting a player, but in spite of their numerical strength they matched their opponents squarely until half time.

The second half, saw both teams playing their hearts out and in the 68th minute, Vipers top striker Joseph Bentil, was given the marching off orders, after a second book-able offence.

The game thereafter, became a ding-dong affair until full time. Results of other matches played, were : Ebusua Dwarfs 0 Takoradi Bafana 2, Kasoa Fauzan 2 Samatex 0, Feynord 2 Iron Fighters 0.
