Vodacom Challenge : Kotoko 7 Orlando Pirates 8

Contesting for third place and R150 000, Orlando Pirates escaped through a needle hole when they beat Kotoko 8-7 on penalty shoot after being level 1-1 at the regulation time.

Kotoko scored first on Sunday through Shila Alhassan in the 70th minute, when the dice was cast on the Sea Robbers, Moleyane, who came on for Sibusiso Mazibuko after a goalless first half, complimented coach Jean Yves-Kerjean in the 90th minute by stabbing home from a goalmouth scramble.

His goal which brought deafening noise from relieved fans forced the game into penalty shoots where both teams remained level 7-7 after eight shots.

Ghana's hero Alhassan turned into a villain when his shot was saved by William Okpara and it was then that Moleyane was called to take the sudden death one which he buried home past George Owu.
