Volta Chapions Engages Red Bull Academy.

Hundreds of fans troop to the Red Bull Academy Park sogakope last Saturday to catch a glimpse of players of HotSteel FC as the newly-promoted First Division outfit engages Red Bull Academy in a friendly match.

Hotsteel clinched promotion to the National Division One League when they beat Wuduaba Shooting Stars in the Supper Middle League in kpando.

It is the first time in 10 years a club from Ho municipality has qualified to play in the second tier of Ghana football after the lives of Voradep and Home Stars disappeared into the thin air. The match which serves as a preparatory one for both teams ahead of the upcoming Division One League ended 2-1 in favor of the Home side (Red Bull Academy). Dickson Akotia, the owner of HotSteel FC express his delight about the level of soccer displayed by both teams and assured the people of the Volta region to expert good soccer from his club as they will raise high the flag of the region in the national Division One. He also said the game will be use to select the players that will be registered for the upcoming league. Mr Akotia praises the commitment of his players as they are well focus on the upcoming league. He has also called on benevolent organizations to come on board to support the club in the National Division One League as the club is finance by him alone.
