Valenciennes striker Abdul Majeed Waris has revealed that he wants to make his loan deal permanent if all go well this season since the Ligue 1 suits his style of play.
The former BK Hacken goal poacher is on a six-month loan stint from Russian side Spartak Moscow and has been an immediate impact at Valenciennes since joining in January.
The sensational striker has scored four goals in eight matches and has set a target of 11 before the Ligue 1 season will come to a close.
“Now that I am in France I really like it here,” Waris was quoted by Ghanasoccernet. “I would like to stay for a bit longer, but I am only supposed to be here for six months and Spartak still own me.”
He added: “So I just have to continue working hard and see what happens in the next six months.”
The former Swedish Allsvenskan goal king hopes to help the struggling Ligue 1 outfit move from the drop zone. They now lie third from bottom with 25 points.
