Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris has been suspended for two games after a bizarre tackle in the Ligue 1.

Guingamp were playing at home against Waris' FC Lorient who, at a point in the game on Saturday, were bearing down on goal. Waris got the ball and after an attempt to race into the opposition's penalty area, was fouled.

But the referee did not whistle in his favour, which angered the number 9. Seconds later, Waris tackled the player who had taken him down moments earlier, leaving the ref no choice than to send him off.

But he did not end there, as the former Right to Dream player engaged in heated words with the home side's players. While he was being pulled away from the boiling scene, Waris kicked bottles in anger.

Lorient drew 2-2 in the end.
