We need to think about all possibilities - Grant

Avram Grant has said his focus is on considering every possibility, including penalties, as the Black Stars set-up a quarter-finals meeting with Guinea in Malabo on Sunday.

Grant said, "we need to prepare for everything. I do not want to look to the past experience with penalties."

The winner of the match, third of the four quarter-finals could be decided on penalties should none of the two sides win the game within regulation time or extra time.

The Israeli who led Chelsea to the finals of the UEFA Champions League but lost out on penalties said "We need to think about other possibilities. I tell the players all the things that are not good so we can improve upon them."

Grant, leading the Black Stars to his first Nations Cup is tasked with doing well at the competition which Ghana seeks to end her continental trophy drought that spans over three decades.

The coach said, "My boys know they are also playing for a reason so we are prepared for everything. Preparation is the same as always and there are no injuries in camp."

On his knowledge about the Syli Nationals who are yet to win against the Black Stars in their last three outings that spans less than six months, Grant said "I saw their games and they play good football with good players".

This is Ghana's fifth successive appearance at the last eight.
