In a remarkable display of resilience, Nico and Inaki Williams shone brightly for Athletic Bilbao, securing a 2-0 victory against Getafe in La Liga.

This performance came shortly after the Williams brothers were subjected to racial abuse by fans during a match against Atletico Madrid.

Both brothers played essential roles in the win, with Nico providing assists for both of Inaki's goals.

These contributions place Bilbao fifth in the league standings, now leading their nearest competitor, Real Sociedad, by ten points, though Sociedad has a game in hand.

Inaki found the net twice, once in the 27th minute and again in the 51st minute.

The match also saw two Bilbao players receive red cards and Getafe's Mason Greenwood miss a penalty late in the game.

Over 82 minutes, Inaki Williams managed two shots on target, won two aerial duels, and completed 18 passes.

Following the incident at the Wanda Metropolitano, Inaki made a strong statement against racism, declaring it unacceptable.

As the 2023-2024 season nears its end with just four games left, Inaki has boosted his season record to 11 goals and three assists.

This year has been particularly memorable for Athletic Bilbao, as the team celebrated their first Copa Del Rey triumph in four decades.
