Winful Cobbinah unaware of Saudi Arabia move

Hearts of Oak playmaker Winful Cobbinah is unaware that he is on the verge of completing a deal to join Saudi Arabian side Najran Sporting Club.

The Accra-based club’s official newspaper Hearts News reported last week that the youngster was on the verge of completing the move to the Saudi side.

According to reports in the Ghanaian media, the move is worth $150,000, which is too tempting for the former African Champions to reject.

But the playmaker says he is unaware that he has agreed on a move to Saudi Arabia.

“I’m shocked to hear that I will be moving to Saudi Arabia, no Hearts official has communicated anything to me, you are the person telling me and I’m oblivious about it,” Cobbinah said.

Najran is a Saudi Professional League side managed by 50-year-old former Cameroon national team French coach Denis Lavagne.

The team currently lies 11th on the league log after six games into the 2014/15 season.
