World Cup Probe: Nyantakyi commended

The Justice Senyo Dzamefe Presidential Commission of Inquiry has commended Kwesi Nyantakyi, president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), for appearing before the commission.

Justice Dzamefe, Chairman of the Commission, said the presence of the GFA president at the commission was the most unique one and expressed appreciation to him for his exposition.

Nyantakyi, who concluded his three-day testimony on Thursday, was highly commended by the three-member commission for his ideas on football in the country.

Justice Dzamefe said his outfit will consult the FA president to develop a paper on football development in the country.

“You have indeed educated us. There are things we did not know and you have really given us an insight into issues.

“I am sure you are happy with the work of the commission because we have given you an opportunity to clear a lot of issues and allegations against you,” Justice Dzamefe stated.

Nyantakyi, on Tuesday, commenced his appearance at commission and spoke on a wide range of issues, from appearance fee, to player attack on management and his political ambitions.

The GFA president on his part expressed appreciation to the commission for the opportunity.

He said the GFA will play a key role in the implementation of the recommendations that will be made by the commission.
