Ghana?s qualification for the Germany 2006 World Cup has put Coca-Cola FA Cup star, Joetex Frimpong, who was on duty for the Black Stars, during their last World Cup Qualifier, in a party mood.

"Our people have been looking forward to this and I am proud to be among the squad that got this ticket for Ghana."

Frimpong, who played the last four matches in the World Cup Qualifiers for the Black Stars reiterated his desire to return to Nigeria and continue with his goalscoring form in the Coca-Cola FA Cup and League.

?Enyimba needs that trophy and it would be an exciting final in Port-Harcourt. I heard it is a new trophy and we have to be the first team to win it. Moreover, we have a bright chance of winning the league again,? he maintained.

The Ghanaian has three goals in the competition. He scored the goals against Gombe United during their two-legged quarter-final clash in Kaduna and Aba, respectively.

... laments Nigeria's World Cup failure

Ghana's World Cup bound forward and Enyimba FC of Aba star, Joetex Frimpong, is lamenting over Nigeria's failure to make the World Cup party, in Germany, next year.

Frimpong, disclosed this to www.ghanaweb.com from Amsterdam, Holland, where he is on transit after helping the Black Stars to gain their first World Cup ticket.

He said: "I play club football in Nigeria where the people have a strong passion for the game. Nigerians love the Eagles, so I know how they are feeling now. I was confident that the Eagles would make it, but the race is now over.

"It is sad that my former teammates in Enyimba, Vincent Enyeama, who is their first choice goalkeeper and Obinna Nwaneri would not make it."

Frimpong, who scored 14 goals in two editions of the African Champions League plays club football for two-time African Champions League and CAF Super Cup champions, Enyimba.

However, he lives in the Northern Nigerian city of Minna where he started club football with defunct IBB Hommers.
