Yahaya Mohammed set for Kotoko return

Beleaguered Asante Kotoko versatile player Yahaya Mohammed is set to return to the Porcupine Warriors, Goal Ghana can reveal.

The burly hitman will be holding talks with officials of the Ghana league champions in the coming weeks, despite a strained relationship between them after signing a pre-contract agreement with a Libyan side Ittihad Tripoli.

Mohammed is currently serving an indefinite suspension for a breach of contract.

However, Goal Ghana understands that the Local Black Stars player could be pardoned after showing an appreciable level of remorse and is prepared to sign a two-year renewable contract with the Kumasi-based club. Rivals Hearts of Oak have been on his heels but the latest development is likely to dent their hopes.

Mohammed was the hottest player during the first round of the FCP Premier League and was part of the Local Black Stars team that won silver at the 2014 CHAN tournament held in South Africa.
