Yamoah appeals for floating status

The romance between kotoko and Yamoah has ended. The player packed bag and baggage from the camp of kotoko last week after failing to settle on terms.

Revealing this to ALL GHANA SOCCER.COM,Kofi Bawuah the manager of Yamoah expressed disappointment about the “bad treatment” the kotoko management meted out to the player which necessitated the decision to finally call it quits.

Kofi Bawuah said he and his ward recently entered into an agreement with the management of kotoko after the expiration of Yamoah’s contract. He said the meeting was held at the premises of the clubs director of operations Mr. Jerry Asare in Accra. Kotoko agreed to pay Yamoah an amount 200million as contract renewal.Bawuah revealed Kotoko paid only 50 million cedis as all efforts to “retrieve” the remaining 150 million cedis met stiff resistance from George Amoako, the clubs director of finance and administration.

“No amount of reminders would be responded to. It was clear nobody really cared about Yamoah’s interest. We had to advice ourselves to secure a better future for the player. Under the circumstances, the only option was to call it quits’, Mr.Bawuah said.

He revealed that he has already applied to the GFA status Committee to declare yamoah floating since his contract with Kotoko has long expired.
