Yaw Yeboah set to leave Man City on loan

Ghana U-20 midfielder, Yaw Yeboah, has revealed he is set for a loan spell away from Manchester City next season.

The 18-year-old blossomed for the Black Satellites at the Fifa U-20 World Cup though the coach Sellas Tetteh team abysmally bowed out of the tournament at the round of 16 stage.

Yeboah, after impressing City scouts while with the Right To Dream Academy in Ghana, has signed a professional contract with the English giants but will be short of the requirements for a working permit hence the need to be sent out on loan to continue his development.

Yeboah reveals he has three firm destinations in the reckoning – Switzerland’s FC Basel, FC Utrecht in the Netherlands and French side LOSC Lille while some unnamed La Liga sides lurk.

“Due to work permit issues, I would have to seek playing time outside England for the coming season,” Yeboah told Etv Ghana.

“I have been to a couple of clubs - Utrecht, Lille and FC Basel. It will be easy to get work permit at any of these three destinations.

“I went to FC Basel during the week they were playing at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League. Everyone was excited about me. They are eager to take me on loan. There are La Liga clubs in Spain as well, then FC Utrecht in Holland and Lille were interested in me also.

“I just want to go to a club where my development will be fantastic. I have spoken to the managers at City and they are getting ready for it.

”In about a couple weeks, when I return to City, I will either be joining the first team on pre-season or join one of the clubs on loan for their season’s preparations,” he noted.
