New Black Stars coach, Burkhard Ziese said he wish to work hard to reposition Ghana football to where it really belongs and crown it all with a dream World Cup debut in his home-country, Germany, in 2006.
And to show his seriousness, the coach said he planned to lobby Premier clubs to release players who have been pencilled down by his two deputies, Paha and Malik for work to begin on Tuesday.
He said the locally assembled squad is likely to be beefed up by a few more, that he had spotted after watching two of the LG Top Four matches who would be released later in the week to rejoin their clubs.
The coach said these when he called on Youth and Sports Minister, Edward Osei- Kweku, in Accra on Monday to formally present himself to the sector minister ahead of a big press conference on Tuesday.
Burkhard who guided the Black Stars to qualify for the African Nations Cup in Senegal in 1992 after years in the "wilderness" is expected to append his signature to the contractual agreement later (today) on Monday.
He admitted that though in the course of his work he would have some disagreement with his employers, "but I hope such problems would rather broaden our scope and help us to achieve our common goal".
Mr Osei-Kweku assured the coach of the ministry's assistance to help him achieve his objectives.
He expressed the hope that Burkhard would help in bringing the Nigeria's five-nation World Cup dream in 2010, which Ghana is a member to fruition.
Present was Ben Koufie, Chairman of the Ghana Football Association.
