Ziva Shut Door To Assistants in Uganda

According to a local radio station, sources close to the senior national team, the Black Stars have revealed that, head coach, Millan Zivadinovic refused to allow his two assistants, Isaac Paha and Malik Jabir access to dressing room during recess of last Saturday’s 0-1 loss to the Cranes of Uganda.

The Yugoslav, who took over the senior national team in June this year, instructed that his two deputies stay on the field with the reserve team while he did the pep talk in the dressing room at half time.

No reasons have as yet been adduced for the non-admittance of the deputies into the dressing room. Three days after the Senior National Team arrived in Ghana, the Football Association is yet to make a statement on the allegation.

Some of the reserves who hung out in the cold were Charles Taylor, Bernard Dong Bortey, Hans Adu Sarpei, Edmund Copson, Mark Edusei and George Owoo.

Ziva also is also said to have played the players out of their normal positions except for goalkeeper, Sammy Adjei.

Information available to JOYonline says the players looked uncomfortable in their new positions and could not jell as a team.

Borrusia Dortmund attacking midfielder Otto Addo was for instance used as a lone striker upfront. But some of the stars shone through the match. Chief among them is Stephen Appiah,(Brescia) Joe Hendricks(Kotoko) Hamza Mohammed(Kotoko) John Mensah (Genoa) and Kofi Amponsah( PAOK Salonika).
