Zoomlion extends its frontiers to Angola 2010 Nations Cup

Luanda, Angola, Jan. 19, GNA - Waste management giants, Zoomlion Ghana Limited has extended its frontiers beyond the borders of Ghana to Angola with an investment of 3.5 million dollars to operate in the oil rich country.

The company is the official cleaning company providing scientific cleaning for the 11th November Sports Stadium in Luanda, Angola during the 27th Edition of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) 2010 Orange Africa Cup of Nations with 250 workers. Kwesi Taylor, International Relations Consultants for Zoomlion Angola told the GNA Sports that the investments of 3.5 million dollars includes the bid for the contract, transportation of equipment and personnel to Luanda.

He said even though securing the bid in Angola had been difficult, they succeeded in delivering to the satisfaction of the people of Angola.

Taylor said there are plans of extending their work in the country to areas such as hospitals and other public institutions and expressed the hope that their stay in the country will be a success. Florence Larbi, General Manager Zoomlion West Africa, said her outfit was already operating in Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire and Guinea and plans are far advanced to extend their activities to other African countries in due time.
